POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Business Data Analyst, your role is crucial in helping organizations make data-driven decisions. You'll work closely with various teams, including the materials department, to provide actionable insights and support their operations.
ROLE EXPECTATIONS
- Define and deliver metrics, reporting platforms, dashboards, and analytical models essential for tracking and managing business performance.
- Data Maintenance and Integrity
- Develop and execute training programs and communication plans to improve user adoption of new and existing features.
- Identify and solve problems, improve service levels, and enhance overall efficiency.
- Identify trends and patterns to provide actionable insights.
- Identify business challenges and initiate process improvement projects.
DUTIES:
- Create and maintain various business intelligence (BI) reports, analyses, and PowerPoint presentations.
- Develop data models and analytical tools to support different operational functions within the organization.
- Translate business and information needs into BI/analytics/reporting requirements.
- Provide actionable insights that can be easily understood by business owners, clients, and stakeholders.
- Maintain appropriate documentation around Business Intelligence solutions and systems.
- Research, study, and analyse system or process-related incidents and resolve issues.
- Recommend process improvement opportunities to management or relevant units.
- Support in maintaining and supporting databases by performing activities such as inputting and cleaning data, determining formats, researching data conversions, and ensuring data integrity.
- Teach business users how to interact with visualizations, interpret results, and develop reference materials.
- Bring a proactive approach to business process re-engineering, internal control objectives, and best practices.
- Gather, interpret, and analyse business data from multiple sources.
- Design, create, and maintain comprehensive reports and visualizations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in a fast paced, high-growth environment is preferred
- Strong analytical skills
- Power BI experience.
