Director, CNN Integrated Content Development
Your New Role..
The Director, CNN Integrated Content Development is the digital editorial lead for the award-winning CNN Originals group, which includes CNN Original Series, CNN Films, CNN FlashDocs, The Whole Story with Anderson Cooper, and CNN Studios. The Director is responsible for pitching, producing, and commissioning compelling multiplatform content, including video, audio, interactive, and text to foster deep audience engagement with our storytelling. This role requires pitching newsworthy framing and visually stunning assets to ensure CNN Originals connect with audiences on multiple platforms - from newsletters to podcasts to digital video series. In this role, you will be a deft and creative storyteller with a never-ending list of ideas and an eagerness to collaborate with partners across the organization. To excel in this role, you should have a gift for connecting disparate teams; an obsession with planning; and a love for creating sparkling content that grabs audiences with the stories they want most.
Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Lead content strategy and multiplatform planning for all CNN Originals projects including CNN Original Series, CNN Original Series, CNN Films, CNN FlashDocs, The Whole Story with Anderson Cooper, and CNN Studios.
  • Pitch and produce compelling multiplatform content for digital audiences, including feature articles, interactives, and other innovative storytelling methods.
  • Identify fresh integration opportunities across the organization, from events to newsletters to podcasts.
  • Coordinate planning for CNN Originals with editorial partners within CNN Digital
  • Partner with social leads on comprehensive social campaigns (Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest, and Facebook).
  • Develop content strategies for sponsorship opportunities.
  • Maintain show landing pages and create a programming bin for homepages (desktop, mobile web and app).
  • Closely monitor story and video performance data for both on- and off-platform and apply learnings to future efforts.


Your Qualifications & Experiences...

  • 10+ years' experience
  • Digital media experience is required. News experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work and think independently while being a solid team player.
  • Solid writing and video editing and online production skills.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro or similar editing system.
  • Mastery of web video and social media sites.
  • Visual and presentation aptitude.
  • Flexibility and ability to multitask and adapt to rapidly changing programming landscapes.
  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends on a seasonal basis and as needed throughout the year.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $122,504.00 - $227,508.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
