Sunnova Energy is searching for an Investment Tax Credit Analyst to support the growing tax function at Sunnova. Reporting to the Investment Tax Credit Administrator, this position will assist with the day-to-day maintenance and management of the investment tax credit (ITC), low-income communities bonus credit applications, supporting documentation for energy communities, domestic content adders, and all associated correspondence with regulatory agencies. This person should have strong understand and practice of data collection, data wrangling, and data integrity. This person’s success in this role will be measured by the complete, accurate, and timely submission of all ITC bonus credit applications and subsequent reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the application process of the DOE’s Low-Income Communities Bonus Credit Program, including data/documentation collection, and submission of applications; ongoing monitoring of application status, potential disqualifications, and resolution of DOE/IRS inquiries; retrieving control numbers; and ensuring awarded capacity allocations are properly reflected in the subsequent Pre-Filing Registration process.
• Assists with documentation to support the ITC awards including ITC adders and provides support to tax reporting requirements such as Form 3468 and Form 3800
• Collects cost information to support domestic contents, calculates NDA data with other data to support domestic content requirements
• Prepares all attestations to support ITC transfer and tax reporting
• Provides support for indirect tax functions like sales tax license registrations, property tax renditions, research, etc., as necessary.
• Assists with other tax department tasks, as necessary. 

Minimum Requirements

• A bachelor's degree
• 2+ years of professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in accounting or taxation
• Experience and proficiency in data analytics tools
