Primary Function:
The Sales Coordinator provides support to sales team members who are aligned to contractual customers. Sales Coordinators manage between 15-30 track codes with approx$150M in revenue. The purpose of the role is to shift non-selling activities away from our sales partners, enabling them to reallocate their time to strategic selling activities, resulting in sales growth. Sales Coordinators assist with contractual reoccurring reporting, contractual pricing coordination, track code maintenance, strategic content development, and pre/post order support. The Sales Coordinator is responsible for
fostering significant business partnerships with all levels of leadership and collaborates with multiple cross functional teams to improve the customer and seller experience.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supports 2-5 sellers; strategic partner in managing approx. $150M in sales.
  • Provides seller support for large contract customers (such as National Accounts,
  • Healthcare, GPOs, Channel Business, Gov't, AGI, Multi-Family Housing) in regards to
  • CSP pricing, reporting, quotes, sourcing and other complex organizational tasks to drive contract implementation and execution of contracted business.
  • Practices critical thinking to actively probe to uncover unique and complex customer requirements while creating effective solutions to execute on tasks.
  • Acts as a liaison between cross functional departments such as Quotes, Cross
  • Referencing, Customer Life-Cycle Project Manager, Contract Enablement Manager,
  • Contract Administration Coordinator, Sourcing, Customer Service, Financial Services, eCommerce, Technical Product Support and other supported departments.
  • Uses data to articulate customer story and/or works to address inconsistencies or anomalies.
  • Assist in RFQs, Large Bid Pricing, and Contractual CSP
  • Assist in creation of quarterly business review reporting
  • Assist in creating and maintaining monthly, contractual, customer facing reporting
  • Assist in mass account creation and/or deactivation
  • Assist in large account list match projects; ebusiness integrations
  • Creates Track Code, manages proper alignment for account, sub and track level
  • Manages contractual Diversity reporting; manages entering financial information in Customer's portal
  • Coordinate the development content and materials to communicate customer


strategy & opportunities to local DSM, AMs, & FARs

  • Tracking and follow up as it relates to implementation project plans adoption after


CEM disengagement as well as seller based project plans (Pre and post
implementation)

  • Leverages learnings to create/maintain thorough, accurate and detailed


documentation to establish repeatable processes

  • Understands and utilizes ongoing sales policies and precisely adapts to changes.
  • Shares best practices with peers and serves as a coach or trainer for newly hired team


members.

  • Facilitates meetings with internal and/or external business partners while


demonstrating professionalism, sound judgment, tact and diplomacy.
Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Possess the technological capabilities to efficiently navigate the Grainger systems and


software packages to support customers. (SAP/SOE, MS Office (Excel, Access) MS
Outlook, SalesForce, Keepstock Dashboard, etc.)

  • Ability to influence without authority and negotiates to make sound decisions and


drive for best results while minimizing risk to the company.

  • Ability to stay with a position or plan of action until desired result is achieved or is no


longer reasonably attainable.

  • Practices agility while working in fast paced environment and leads with Continuous


Improvement mindset in regards to opportunities within processes and technologies.

  • Ability to multi-task, handle multiple priorities with agility and perform in fast-paced,


high volume environment.

  • Strong decision making, solution focused and troubleshooting skills.
  • Business acumen and knowledge of MRO industry.


Work Environment:

  • Self-driven team member who can work independently but also thrives in team


atmosphere. Takes general direction from Supervisor.

  • Ability to multi-task in high-paced environment and maximize use of time and


resources to deliver effective solutions.

  • Minimal travel required


Impact:

  • The Sales Coordinator plays an integral role in the daily operations and success of our contractual


customers. Sales Coordinators are key partners and quickly become embedded into the overall
strategy while partnering with the aligned Sales partner.

  • Sales Coordinators handle multiple diverse/complex tasks. This individual is tasked with making


decisions and executes in relation to the strategic guidelines put in place by the aligned contractual
seller. Sales Coordinators are tasked with working with multiple business partners, knowledge or
multiple different department policies and processes and asked to interpret those policies to make
the best decision for the customer and Grainger.

  • The Sales Coordinator has limited interactions with external manufacturers and customers.
  • The Sales Coordinator partners internally with team members at various levels of the organization,

  • Aligned Contractual Seller/DSM/Director/RSVP, Quotes, Cross Referencing, Customer Life-


Cycle Project Manager, Contract Enablement Manager, Reporting & Analytics, New
Account/Customer Information, Customer Coverage, Keepstock, Sourcing, Customer
Service/Specialized Customer Support, Supply Chain, Financial Services (Credit, Collections &
Billing), Ebusiness, Pricing Execution, Merchandising, & Marketing.
