About the Role

Yieldstreet’s Investment Team is looking for an Investment Associate to join our Private Credit vertical. This role will focus on a wide array of private credit transactions, including asset-backed loans, structured credit, trade finance, distressed credit, litigation finance, lender finance and opportunistic investments. Opportunities will consist of direct investments, participations in leading investment managers’ deals, and fund investments. You will work side by side with senior deal team members to underwrite, structure, document and close new offerings as well as assist our investment marketing team with the capital raise through the Yieldstreet platform. What you'll do:

  • Prepare in depth financial analysis on historic balance sheet, income statement and cash flow performance as well as vet projection models, developing appropriate sensitivity analysis.
  • Conduct originator, borrower and guarantor due diligence, including analysis of transaction structure, counterparty creditworthiness, and quality of collateral pledged as security.
  • Underwrite the performance of underlying assets from a credit perspective providing appropriate comp analysis where available.
  • Prepare drafts of all Series Note Supplements and Offering Pages and work collaboratively with underwriting, legal and marketing teams for approval often under tight deadlines.
  • Monitor current performance of each transaction with comparisons to prior periods and planned performance for borrowing bases, financial results, model performance and covenant compliance with credit agreements.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. A focus in Finance or Accounting is a plus
  • 3-5+ years of Formal Credit Training and/or a minimum of three years in a comparable role.
  • Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Deal execution mindset
  • Analytical and curious mind, understanding the details of all the requests on your desk but also the expertise to ask the right questions to evaluate transactions.
  • Ability to work at the pace of a venture-backed, hyper growth organization where you’ll need to think and act on your feet strategically and independently, all while delivering high quality analysis
  • Flexible and dynamic capacity to multitask on several transactions at the same time.

Bonus points for:

  • In depth knowledge of excel is critical for this function.
  • CPA or MBA in finance or completion of a formal Bank Credit Training Program
