ROLE SUMMARY:
The US Precision Medicine/Lung Franchise is poised for growth with numerous oncology therapies including Lorbrena, a treatment for adults with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that is caused by an abnormal anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) gene and that has spread to other parts of the body, coupled with a strong future thoracic pipeline. This critical role provides the opportunity to work on a highly anticipated launch that will change the standard of care and provide hope for lung cancer patients.
The Director, Lung HCP Lead will report directly to the Franchise Lead, Precision Medicine/Lung and will be responsible for leading the development and execution of marketing strategies for U.S. HCPs prior and post launch of our latest clinical data. This role requires strong strategic, communication and analytical thinking as well as creativity, judgment, and decision-making skills. The team operates in an environment that embraces and encourages innovative ideas and creates a culture of supportiveness and teamwork. This individual needs to manage multiple priorities, have attention to detail, collaborate across the enterprise, and learn from and improve upon existing processes or develop/implement new processes, where appropriate. Executive presence, situation/organizational awareness, and negotiation skills are imperative for success.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Director, Lung HCP Lead will have accountability for Lorbrena HCP strategy, including digital and media. This role will include insight discovery, performance evaluation, strategy, and tactical development for media and digital channels. This role requires strong cross collaboration, communication, and decision-making skills, change agility, and proven track record of success working in a team environment with multiple stakeholders, including the broader franchise team, CMO, medical, market access, RC, agency partners, and other cross functional cohorts.

  • Lead HCP messaging development and digital & media strategy to further personalized HCP customer experiences.
  • Partner with CMO, ISE, and other analytics colleagues to monitor and measure omnichannel performance for quicker pivots and explore various omnichannel approaches to drive greater HCP engagement and education.
  • Lead peer to peer (P2P) strategy for Lorbrena
  • Lead access messaging pull through for respective digital and media tactics
  • Lead and mentor others. Support HCP Senior Managers with Lorbrena HCP strategy pull through and Adobe integration
  • Hold self and team accountable for deliverables and positive performance while fostering positive culture
  • Tactical Plan lead, key contributor to operating plans and other leadership presentations
  • Lead HCP omni-channel content calendar and journey orchestration, including tactical sequences
  • Collaborate with Global partners, Though Leader Engagement Leads, and Sales to advance congress (national and regional) pull-through
  • Continuously measure the impact of marketing initiatives, generating early learning, and driving continuous improvement to achieve budget
  • Participate in development and execution of the US annual tactical plan to achieve financial and business goals
  • Identify and track overall performance and KPIs for key tactics to identify areas for improvement and optimization
  • Identify strategic customer insights through collaboration with medical, market analytics, field force and prescribers and translate into actionable strategies


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience required, or Master's degree and 9+ years of experience, or Ph.D./PharmD and 7+ years of experience required.
  • Demonstrated success executing complex marketing programs
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with varied internal stakeholders to improve business performance
  • Demonstrated ability to manage advertising and other agencies to produce communications that impact business performance
  • Solid business acumen and organizational skills with excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills for a wide variety of audiences, including senior management
  • Strong analytical skills; detail and action oriented; creative
  • Experience with product positioning and branding is required
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively both one-on-one and in groups
  • Self-motivated and a team player
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Ability to effectively lead and influence an indirect team
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver results on multiple, complex, competing projects in a deadline-oriented environment
  • Ability to effectively lead a collaborative team environment

  • Agency or vendor management experience required


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MBA or other advanced degree highly desirable
  • Previous in-line US Marketing experience preferred
  • Oncology experience preferred, but not required

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and making complex decisions quickly
  • Ability to synthesize and analyze complex data and understand trends and mathematical calculations
  • Expected domestic travel 20%
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed for congresses, sales meetings and customer engagements

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $161,600.00 to $269,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
