As a Manager of Infrastructure Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate & Investment Bank , you supervise team members while applying depth of knowledge within your specialization. Exercise independent judgement within defined parameters to solve problems and meet broad objectives.
Job responsibilities:
- Anticipates the needs and potential dependencies of the immediate team
- Works with other teams to deliver projects in line with business requirements
- Provides immediate team with tasks, guidance, and expectations
- Identifies and escalates issues to execute according to compliance standards, risk and security, and service-level agreements
- Oversees work within an area of expertise within the infrastructure engineering discipline
- Applies relevant technical expertise, leadership, and business knowledge to projects of moderate scope
- Adds to the team's culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, respect for team members and prioritizes diverse representation
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Formal training or certification in UNIX Administration and leading complex infrastructure projects and 5+ years of applied experience
- Experience leading infrastructure engineering projects and team members
- Deep knowledge of one or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or system performance assessments
- Proficient automation knowledge
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Excellent communication skills to influence and drive the team to achieve higher goals.
- Articulate the process and ensure the risk / hygiene / standard practices are followed by the team.
- Good understanding about the financial business workflows and troubleshoot the complex issues to mitigate the issue.
