Proxy Operations Analyst
Geode Capital Management, LLC is seeking a Proxy Operations Analyst. A key focus is on our Proxy Voting, Engagement and ESG efforts. We are looking for highly motivated individual(s) to join the team and be a part of our exciting future. As Proxy Operations Analyst, you will become an essential part of our Stewardship and Engagement team and will have the opportunity to learn and participate in these efforts. This is a rapidly growing area, and we are looking for people who are driven and committed.
Geode’s ESG Stewardship Team is responsible for the oversight and implementation of Geode’s Proxy Voting guidelines and issuer engagement process. The Team is also responsible for tracking, analyzing and reporting proxy voting and engagement data, including trend analysis. In addition, the Team has oversight of and coordinates all client communications regarding the Proxy Voting Policies and the proxy voting records for clients.
This is a hybrid work environment opportunity with a weekly in-office schedule of Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays with remote work availability on Mondays and Fridays.
Responsibilities:
- Provide operational support for the proxy voting process, including:
- Daily workload monitoring and outreach on high priority items to ensure accurate and timely vote execution
- Execution of votes within the online proxy platform
- Ballot reconciliation
- Administration of the online proxy voting platform
- Audits of proxy voting activities and vote recommendations
- Processing of new account setups and ongoing maintenance of the account environment within the proxy voting platform
- Respond to proxy voting inquiries from stakeholders
- Preparation and delivery of scheduled and ad hoc client reporting requests
- Assist in preparation and documentation of engagement meetings with portfolio companies on topics spanning the full ESG spectrum
- Assist in coordinating the regulatory filings for proxy-related matters, including Form N-PX filings for U.S. registered funds
Skills You Bring:
- At least 2 years work experience, preferably in a data processing focused role within the investment management sector
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or similar field preferred
- Previous exposure to or knowledge of proxy voting, issuer engagements or ESG issues, preferred but not required
- Strong written and oral communication and analytical skills
- Must be able to conduct on-line research and to utilize applicable tools. Must employ and embrace the use of technology in the performance of the job
- Demonstrate ability to collaborate effectively with Geode employees and outside parties at all organizational levels. Presentation skills are essential
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication and project management skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting demand deadlines
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
