About the Role: 

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Software Engineer specializing in DevOps with a strong background in public cloud technologies to join our Search & AI Platform Org. As a vital member of the team, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of the platform and services that drive AlphaSense’s Search & AI product features. The Search & AI team is at the forefront of innovation and is responsible for developing and maintaining the platform and services that power AlphaSense's Search, AI, and ML features. From deploying and maintaining Solr and Qdrant to managing ML/LLM models in production, the team's scope includes building robust backend infrastructure, data pipelines, and services essential for delivering AI-powered product features.

Requirements:

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant technical discipline from a top-tier university
• 5+ years of experience in Cloud & DevOps.
• A strong software engineer who can write high-quality code and tests and has experience deploying complex software systems 
• Proficiency in at least one central public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Crossplane, AWS CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager Templates, Google Cloud Deployment Manager, or Pulumi.
• Experience managing container infrastructure in on-premises and cloud environments, including AWS ECS, EKS, and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Ability to design, implement, and upgrade container infrastructures such as Kubernetes clusters and node pools.
• Proficient in creating and maintaining deployment manifest files using HELM.
• Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to container infrastructure and deployments.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines using Git with tools like ArgoCD, Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI, Bamboo, and Travis CI.
• Automate build, test, and deployment processes to streamline release cycles and enforce best practices, including quality gates and vulnerability scans.
• Utilize Python, Shell, and PowerShell to automate building and deployment processes.
• Implement DevSecOps practices and tools to integrate security throughout the software development and deployment lifecycle.
• Manage artifact repositories, including Nexus and JFrog Artifactory, to support version control and release management.
• Design, implement, and maintain systems for observability, monitoring, logging, and alerting using tools like Jaeger, OpenTracing, Open Telemetry, Dynatrace, Splunk, Prometheus, and Grafana.
