Within our Finance Projects team, we act as internal consultants with VP-level business leaders across the organization to understand the ins and outs of our Financial Operations.This Finance Projects role is for Finance professionals who can operate independently on project based work. You can expect to be deployed into various operational roles to address the highest priorities of the Finance department. You will be given large operational Finance projects to lead for 3-6 months at a time. Some months, you may be focused on the implementation of a new AP/ OCR tool to automate our AP team's invoice processing and the next month, you may be leading the migration to a new Payroll provider. In addition to leading operational Finance projects, you will be leveraged as a resource in potential corporate development transactions. Your work will directly impact the success of teams within Groupon, ensuring that they have financial strength to build our mission.

You'll spend time on the following:

  • Leading Financial Operations projects
  • Assist in balance sheet optimization projects
  • Perform ad hoc analysis on business / financial issues
  • Drive various cross-functional and highly visible project streams leveraging technology (Tableau, Anaplan, etc) to improve visibility, insights and processes

We're excited about you if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related degree
  • 5+ years of experience in Commercial Finance, investment banking, consulting, restructuring, or another related field
  • Systems savvy with a strong desire to transform and simplify processes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Significant experience with Financial Modeling
  • High comfort level with Microsoft Excel
  • Expert level written and verbal English communication
  • You love collaborating and nurturing partnerships with senior leaders and teams
  • You can think critically about business challenges while simultaneously absorbing new knowledge and information
  • You thrive in a dynamic environment and can navigate the ambiguities that come with it
