We are now looking for a Team Manager within Data and Technology Range. Do you want to join us? 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of embedded software engineers, providing leadership and guidance in project execution, task delegation, and professional development.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of existing Zigbee-based IoT devices while spearheading the transition to the Matter protocol for new and upcoming products.
  • Drive the creation of requirements specifications for next-generation Matter-based IoT devices.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of prototypes for new device types and customized IoT solutions.
  • Lead the design and implementation of connectivity components for existing and future IoT hubs/gateways within the IKEA ecosystem, ensuring seamless integration and functionality across all devices.
  • Build and disseminate knowledge about the Matter protocol across the department, educating team members outside the embedded team on its principles and applications.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Prior professional experience in embedded software development, particularly in IoT or similar domains.
  • Prior professional experience in C/C++ programming for embedded systems.
  • Prior exposure to wireless connectivity protocols such as Zigbee, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Wi-Fi, and Thread is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with IoT standards and protocols, especially the Matter (CHIP) standard, is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated leadership or management experience, including team mentoring, project planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience with build systems and deployment pipelines for efficient software development and deployment workflows is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with internal stakeholders, external partners, and suppliers.
