It is also a place for meetings of professional communities and the development of different specialists, which helps to raise new valuable projects and initiate meaningful changes.
The MacPaw Space team is a Manager, Administrators, Technical Administrator, Maintenance Specialist, PR Specialist, SMM Specialist ant Cleaning Crew. The team has short daily meetings to synchronize and uses Slack, mail, Confluence, Trello, Zoom, etc. for cooperation.
The processes in the MacPaw Space team are quite unique and built from scratch, but at the time, they are in great synergy with the rest of the team as all of them are part of the big MacPaw family.
For This Role
As a full-time Technical Video Engineer, you'll manage workflow related to setting up screens, displaying content according to the technical script, and video broadcasts during events in our MacPaw Space. In between events, you will develop and optimize the infrastructure, communicate with clients/colleagues, and prepare for future events in our space.
In this role, you will:
- Technical management/administration of events, work as a profile engineer (console operator) during events
- Communicate with clients to understand their requirements, and ensure their satisfaction with technical aspects of the event
- Organize work schedules, timelines, and arrange additional personnel/subcontractors as needed
- Update and maintain existing systems independently or through subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations during events and maintain equipment
- Write and maintain comprehensive technical documentation
- Check materials before events (graphics, presentations, audio)
- Participate in team calls and planning sessions
Skills you'll need to bring:
- Specialized engineer in one of the following areas: video/screens (VJ), video/streaming
- At least 3 years of experience mainly in the following areas (technical support of events, TV channels, studios)
- Understanding of how OSI L4 network infrastructure works
- Ability to give a clear task to the system administrator
- Basic understanding of electricity (load, phase, grounding)
- Ability to organize your time and work in collaboration with contractors and teams
- Ability to continuously learn and develop professionally
- Responsibility and involvement in the overall result
As a plus:
- Experience with sound and light
- Intermediate or higher level of English (understanding of technical documentation, communication with clients)
- Minimal understanding of legal and accounting processes (contracts, procurement)
