Accountant



As an Account with us, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, analyzing financial data, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting budgeting, and forecasting activities, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. This high-visibility position reports to the Vice President of Finance and works closely with the Senior Accountant and Senior Financial Analyst.


The Day-to-Day


You will manage financial records, analyze revenue and expenses, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making. This includes (but is not limited to):


Process and record financial transactions accurately and timely, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the company's financial performance.

Execute the month-end close process, including the preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts.

Assist with cash forecasting and Treasury management. 

Participate in the development and implementation of financial systems, tools, and processes to support business operations and growth.

Conduct regular reviews of financial processes and controls to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as necessary.

Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations, including GAAP and tax laws.

Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors as required.

Perform other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned.

● You have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.

● You have 3+ years of relevant experience in Accounting or Finance.

● You possess a strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.

● You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

● You have proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks or similar) and Microsoft Excel

● You have previous experience with Bill, Airbase, Ramp, or similar expense management systems.

● You possess strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, analyze variances, and generate actionable insights.

● You have excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.

● You have effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

● You can work independently with minimal supervision, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

● You are detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and ability to meet tight deadlines.
