POSITION PURPOSE:

CIM is looking for a hands-on Salesforce architect who will own the development and delivery of business-enable solutions on CIM’s legacy Salesforce platform. This role will have the primary architecture responsibilities for the firm’s Salesforce ecosystem by recommending the best solution for a given set of requirements and articulating the trade-offs involved in choosing one solution over another.

This role will work closely with IT leadership and business relationship manager to ensure their Salesforce needs are being met by investigating/troubleshooting problems and providing administrator/developer solutions. To succeed in this role, you will have a strong foundation as a Salesforce product owner with experience managing a team and third parties, delivering programmatic solutions while managing Salesforce holistically

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide overall product management of Salesforce overseeing all aspects of delivering solutions.
  • Own the design of Salesforce and architect, support, and manage applications which includes, but is not limited to, design, testing, implementation, documentation, user training/support, and maintenance of new and existing applications.
  • Analyze and define requirements and recommend solutions for business applications to the stakeholders based on knowledge of the business processes and input from the users.
  • Conduct research into CIM’s use of Salesforce, help resolve technical debt of legacy applications, and develop product roadmaps, including ideation, prioritization, execution, and measurement of successful projects.
  • Work with Senior Salesforce Administrator and Applications Support Analyst to debug technical issues, by delivering timely fixes but also working on scalable longer-term solutions.
  • Document specific business application software requirements for complex and changing business needs.
  • Stay up to date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize the Salesforce org.
  • Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
  • Effectively communicate your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
  • Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and produce useful reports.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Mentor and manage junior team members to develop and maintain documentation standards and other best practices.
  • Interface with the application support team and use analytics to implement better processes to reduce support requests.
  • Manage external vendors and contractors as it relates to supporting the Salesforce ecosystem

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify, engage, and manage outside partners/vendors to provide services in support of operations of systems and technology services, for projects for technology initiatives, and in support of business processes.
  • Lead, manage, and provide guidance for programming efforts of both internal staff and 3rd party programming services
  • Supervises a team and other technical people who support implementations and solutions for the business line.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience is required.
  • Eight-plus years’ experience working with Salesforce as an Administrator or Developer.
  • Five plus years of advanced declarative and programmatic experience (APEX, Flow, and Process Builder, Lightening Web Components, and Visualforce).
  • Five plus years of experience working with Salesforce integrations and APIs.
  • Strong preference for candidates who are Salesforce certified as an Architect or minimum certified as an Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Platform App Building, Platform Developer I, and/or Platform Developer II.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • A pro-active personality, with a can-do attitude
  • Real estate or financial industries experience preferred
  • Expertise in solving integration and software design problems within and across Salesforce CRM instances serving multiple business domains.
  • Knowledge and understanding of goals and the interdependencies of functional departments and groups and the ability to lead large-scale complex IT projects in addressing overall business needs.
  • Knowledge of project management process and systems, ITIL/ITSM

Actual base salary considers several factors including but not limited to geography, job-related knowledge, experience, and budget. The start of the salary range is typically associated with the minimum experience required.


At CIM, base pay is one part of the total compensation package. This role is eligible for bonus pay in addition to base salary. The anticipated base salary range for the position in Los Angeles is $135,000- $185,000.
