Role Summary:

The NTAM AUM Data and Reporting Analyst will be responsible for key deliverables and analysis related to AUM (Assets under Management), Financial, Compliance, and Marketing NTAM reporting and data to key internal stakeholders. This includes working with upstream and downstream partners to manage data exceptions and identify opportunities to implement data quality rules. Respond to ad-hoc information requests, analyze, gather and research information and develop reports in response to management and/or regulatory requests. Additionally, as we continue to our cloud-based infrastructure this role will look to build business insights and reporting that will add to our current deliverables.

Major Duties:

  • Own select AUM Team reports, data, and analytics related to AUM, Flows, and Returns Data with a focus on holistic understanding of the process, data sources, and data quality needs.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in key areas of AUM Reporting and Compliance Reporting, working with the AUM Reporting Team to develop key insights for the business and stakeholders.
  • Engage with the AUM Team and stakeholders to provide intuitive data, reporting and analytics to enable secure, governed, and controlled access to data, in compliance for company policies.
  • Proactively manage issues and risks to ensure that data governance is maintained, and delivery commitments are met, while ensuring excellence in execution.
  • Participate in key NTAM and enterprise initiatives programs as directed by senior leadership.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement to reduce operational risk and drive operational excellence.

Necessary Knowledge and Skills:

  • Basic understanding of AUM, Flows, and performance reporting in asset management space with some experience in reporting.
  • Experience with client segmentation and related data across vehicle types (Funds, SMAs, alternative, etc)
  • Knowledge of business functions and processes usually obtained through related work experience in the following areas: and project management. General knowledge and understanding of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the asset management and analytics technology field. Creative thinker with excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated passion and experience in leveraging data and analytics to drive change.
  • A passion for problem solving with strong intellectual curiosity, comfortable dealing with ambiguity and connecting disparate pieces of data to drive decision making and execute reporting.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with demonstrated ability to develop materials and effectively present to and persuade executive audiences using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.
  • Global outlook with sensitivity and awareness of social and cultural differences
  • Strong data visualization skills using Tableau and Power BI tools with working experience on extracting data from Cloud-based data sources such as Azure, Snowflake, as well as on-premise sources such as SQL

Necessary Experience and Education:

  • 5+ years relevant experience in the asset management, fund accounting, or asset servicing industries, experience with at least 3+ years reporting in AUM/flows, flows or NAV reporting highly desired.
  • Experience in Regulatory/Compliance/ADV reporting highly desired.
  • 1+ years experience in data management or data analytics.
  • Experience with data management or data analytics with experience using data visualization tools, especially Power BI and/or Tableau.
  • Sound knowledge of business and financial drivers of Asset Management business.
  • Degree in Finance, Business, Math or related field.; MBA preferred but not required.
  • Track record of developing and driving agenda of a new capability or product to drive data driven decisions and delivering tangible results.
