What we're looking for:

Nexamp's Capital Markets team and is seeking to hire a Capital Markets Analyst. In this role you will play a pivotal role in building and refining portfolio-level financial models. You'll collaborate closely with project development, and asset management teams, contributing your expertise in financial modeling to support new market and product offerings. This individual will have the opportunity for future growth and development amongst a group of high achieving and fun professionals. We are seeking a driven, dedicated, and enthusiastic professional to join our dynamic team.

You will be hybrid in our Boston HQ. This position will report to the Manager, Capital Markets.

What you'll do:

  • Responsible for the execution and performance of various capital markets activities, including, but not limited to:
  • Build and enhance portfolio-level financial models 
  • Assist project acquisition, development and asset management teams with financial models including new market or new product offerings 
  • Assist with corporate and project-level debt and equity financings 
  • Keep an active pulse on trends in the renewable energy debt and equity markets 
  • Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, cash flow forecasts, etc) 
  • Prepare qualitative memos that will be presented to senior management for investment decisions 

What you'll bring:

Ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, results-oriented, and operate well in a collaborative, team environment. The ideal candidate should be prepared for increased responsibilities as they relate to the role and in a rapidly growing company. Qualifications include:

  • 0 - 2 years of investment banking, valuation, accounting, applied mathematics, quantitative analytics experience or relevant coursework preferred 
  • Financial modeling, financial statement analysis, and accounting skills / knowledge preferred 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the Capital Markets team, executive management and all departments across the organization 
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) 
  • Creative mindset with proven analytical ability and attention to detail 
  • Superior organizational and time management skills, and the ability to efficiently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment 
  • Experience in renewables, energy or infrastructure preferred, but not required 
  • Commitment to Nexamp's mission and have a passion for solving tomorrow's climate crisis today.
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond your organization. 
  • Experience in showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization. We value accountability and an ownership mentality.
  • Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify the root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.  
  • Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty across the industry. 
  • Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and then apply that knowledge effectively to inform business decisions.
