Ardent is seeking a Project Technical Lead, Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team.  

This is a Remote/hybrid position located in the Washington, D.C. area that will require some on-site presence based on customer need.

Position Description:

Ardent is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect. As the Cloud Solutions Architect, you will be a technical lead contributor in designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud-based solutions for our clients. Your expertise in Azure Cloud, PowerBI, ESRI, DevSecOps, Python scripting, ETL, SQL, and other related technologies will be critical in developing robust, scalable, and secure architectures.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable cloud architectures.
  • Design, implement, and manage Azure-based solutions, leveraging services like Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure DevOps, etc.
  • Develop and maintain PowerBI dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Utilize ESRI tools (Desktop, Online, Portal) to integrate geospatial capabilities into cloud solutions.
  • Implement DevSecOps best practices ensuring security, compliance, and automation in the cloud environment.
  • Create Python scripts for automation, orchestration, and integration tasks.
  • Architect and implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data efficiently.
  • Optimize SQL queries, databases, and data pipelines for performance and reliability.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 10 years of experience in cloud architecture, with 5+ years specifically in Azure-based
  • Proficiency in Azure cloud services with hands-on experience in designing and implementing solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of PowerBI for data visualization and reporting.
  • Expertise in ESRI tools (Desktop, Online, Portal) for geospatial data management and analysis.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and practices.
  • Proficient in Python scripting for automation and integration purposes.
  • Experience with ETL processes and tools.
  • Strong command of SQL for data querying, manipulation, and optimization.
  • Knowledge of Databricks and Spark for big data processing and analytics.
  • Experience with Collabera or similar collaboration platforms.
