CNC Press Brake Operator and Roller Operator

Vast is looking for a CNC Press Brake and Roller Operator, reporting to the Haven Welding Manager, to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations. This will be a full-time, non-exempt position located in our Long Beach location.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for safe operation of Brake Press, shear, and roller operations including high end aerospace aluminums and steels
- Responsible for proper setup and programing of machine and verification of dies prior to forming
- Giving feedback on formability to engineering for design improvement
- Training other technicians on sheet metal techniques as needed
- Maintains clean working environment and follows instructions
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret sheet metal drawings and work instructions
- Ability to operate CNC Press brake and CNC roller to form parts
- Experience with thick stock (up to 1”) and machined panel forming
- Minimum 10 years forming experience
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Ability to roll or bump-form high strength aerospace steel and aluminum panels into cylinder and conic sections with tight tolerances
- Ability to form titanium sheet metal alloys
- 10+ years forming experience (any industry)
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to work overtime, or weekends to support critical mission milestones
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs unassisted
- Prolonged periods of standing, pushing/pulling, lifting, and operating press
Pay Range:
- CNC Press Brake and Roller Operator II: $21.98 - $30.83
- CNC Press Brake and Roller Operator III: $25.69 - $34.78
