EGM - Hardware Execution & Plant Technical Support

Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to be onsite at Warren or Milford, Michigan minimum three times per week.
The Role
Lead the Hardware Execution & Plant Tech Support organization, a diverse team of engineers focused on executing End of Line equipment projects in GM's vehicle assembly plants. This role will foster a culture of supporting plants in achieving and exceeding their metrics in the End of Line space during program launches and beyond. This team provides the necessary equipment and processes for vehicle launches and equipment improvements across North America. You will be collaborating with multiple assembly plants, local execution teams as well as the larger Global Manufacturing Electrical & SDV team to achieve results.
What You'll Do
- Lead a diverse team of engineers performing work in multiple plant locations
- Execute End of Line (EOL) program and NPP (non-portfolio projects) for new and updated equipment across North America on time and within budget
- Prioritize resources to effectively support plants according to the enterprise needs
- Develop and improve processes to measure and improve performance of equipment in the plants with data driven methods
- Find innovative ways to improve plant performance through technology, relationships and training
- Work closely with various teams inside and outside of GM: Manufacturing Engineering (ME), the Automotive Manufacturing Electrical College (AMEC), Technical Learning University (TLU), ME Execution, controls, cybersecurity, plant engineering teams, suppliers and more
- Foster a forward-thinking work culture that embraces change and navigates through future organizational and industry challenges to ensure long-term success.
- Develop a strong team by acquiring strong talent when necessary via recruiting and hiring processes.

Additional Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience related to Manufacturing processes and project management
- 5+ years experience in executing launch critical projects in General Assembly
- Proven results in successful project execution
- Strong passion in people development
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and root cause analysis skills, especially where problems are new and not well defined
- Experience managing a variety of stakeholders' priorities and feedback
What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience with GM vehicle electrical testing and equipment
- Thorough knowledge of General Assembly and electrical business processes
- Master's degree in a technical or managerial discipline
- Leadership experience of technical experts
