Project Finance Accountant - US Remote

Our success has led to continued expansion both in the range of services we offer and our global presence. We are now looking for a talented and enthusiastic Project Finance Accountant within Nucleus Global.

The Project Finance Accountant (PFA) works with the Finance Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team to ensure that the company is achieving project profitability and billability through the provision of timely financial information, and the financial management of client projects. The PFA is responsible for managing project financials on a day-to-day basis and assisting the Finance Business Partners with updating the Oracle Fusion system with up-to-date and accurate financial information. The role will involve supporting the FP&A team to ensure that all client financial and internal reporting needs are met.

  Education, work experience and skills required      

• Previous accounting or finance experience, coupled with an accounting and finance educational background.
• Strong IT skills with proficiency in Excel and accounting software
• Proactive attitude
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (with finance and non-finance colleagues) and strong attention to detail skills
• Ability to work on own initiative with a pro-active approach to work
• A strong team player with a collaborative approach to work
• Excellent relationship building skills with employees at all levels
• Proactive attitude to improving processes

  Core responsibilities       

• Carries out client invoicing for various clients in line with varying and tight deadlines.
• Updates contracts in the Oracle system, ensuring accuracy to commercial terms.
• Attends internal meetings with FP&A team and client service teams.
• Provides status updates on projects.
• Assists the client services teams with task such as the setup of new customers and verifying rates.
• Assisting with project reconciliations by working with the client services teams
• Ensuring all time movements in the Oracle are carried out for reconciliations in a timely manner.
• Assists in managing client and other invoicing trackers.
• Assists with month end duties, meetings and reporting.
• Provides training to the business on financial compliance and procedures.
• Provides training to the business on the Oracle system.
• Provides the FP&A team with ad hoc assistance.
