About this opportunity

We are now looking for an Integration Engineer Intern to analyze, prepare, implement and verify the configuration and integration of a node, network and/or system. Your scope of work could include the scenarios of introduction, upgrade expansion, functionality and capacity. Your work will shape our customer legacy!

As a part of the Transport Team, you will support customers in providing transport solutions and work at time in live networks. You will gain familiarity with the Ericsson Transport products (SW and HW) through Lab testing, as well as with the product acceptance process for our large customers in North America. You will be exposed to the latest transport products that will be rolled out in our biggest customer networks. The goal is to provide our customers with the latest transport products. As part of your work, you will be interacting with various Ericsson organizations such as development unit, customer units, and directly with the customers.

What you will do

  • Analyze and implement testing and record test case results
  • Solve Transport and IP related issues
  • Integrate 3rd party platforms (Juniper and Extreme switches for example) into Ericsson's Core and Transport solutions
  • Perform lab and field configuration related to Transport and Core deployment
  • Prepare and present progress reports
  • Drive and participate in brainstorming activities
  • Collect and document customer requirements
  • Assist in the development of a service proposal
  • Identify add-on sales opportunities

What you will bring

  • Obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (IT, Telecom) or other technical field
  • experience of software deployment, including installation, configuration, and testing.
  • Knowledge or experience of IP networking and Internet principles and protocols
  • Passion to work in teams for customer projects in a highly collaborative environment

  • Organized and efficient way of working
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Able to communicate effectively both orally and written in English
  • Excellent customer interface skills

This position reports directly to the Network Engineering Manager II
