We are currently seeking a Logistics Operations Manager for Newark, CA. This position requires an experienced professional with the ability to manage the day-to-day schedules that come from managing the logistical needs of a design, innovation and prototype manufacturing operation.  Responsible for all logistics processes across multiple locations that are required to have a successful new product launch. The successful candidate will have spent considerable time launching new plants and/or new products in an automotive manufacturing environment. This position requires partnership with Supply Chain, QA/QC, Manufacturing, Packaging, Engineering, Finance, and Regulatory Affairs to implement new processes and manage changes. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.

You Will:

  • Manage each of these activities within your area of responsibility (either directly or through a service provider)
  • Lineside Delivery, Inventory Management, Inbound Material, Outbound Shipping, Sub-Assembly and Kitting Operations
  • Promote Safety, 6S Culture, and ensure Regulatory Compliance (FTZ, OSHA, CTPAT)
  • Ensure your area is aligned with related internal departments, including: Facilities, Quality, Finance, IT, Purchasing, Human Resources, Engineering, and Training
  • Develop and Lead a team of 30+ Associates, Team Leaders and Supervision to meet and exceed metrics for efficiency and accuracy
  • Participate in the development of the Annual Business Plan, and Manage Performance, for logistics functions
  • Act as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance and consistency for daily business requirements
  • Develop, implement, and execute standard operation procedures
  • Maintain high inventory accuracy through flawless receiving and picking processes
  • Build and deliver productivity plans with use of forecasts, presentations to demonstrate solution components
  • Evaluate performance objectives and metrics to determine productivity requirements to achieve quality expectations
  • Solve problems by providing out of the box ideas, and applying new techniques and best practice to get to the root cause of issues
  • Build strong relationships with senior leadership through effective communication and collaboration to support company goals

You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Supply Chain, Logistics Engineering, or related field. OR equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered
  • LEAN, GK, or Six Sigma Certifications a plus
  • A strong understanding of Warehouse Management System functions, SAP EWM experience desired
  • Dangerous Goods certification preferred, experience and compliance and understanding with shipping and handling lithium ion batteries
  • 8+ years total in material handling management in a manufacturing plant, Distribution, or Supply Chain Operations with thorough knowledge of Supply Chain systems and processes
  • 5+ years of experience in any of the following areas: material flow, warehouse design, transportation management, dedicated fleet operations, distribution center management, materials handling, decision support systems and technology
  • 2+ years of related automotive industry experience and LEAN manufacturing
  • 2+ years direct leadership experience

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

 

Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.  (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)

$126,800$186,010 USD
