Colossal is on the lookout for a creative entry level Marketing Graphic Designer skilled in crafting compelling static visual assets, motion graphics and video content for social media. The successful candidate will excel in making complex scientific concepts both visually compelling and easily digestible.

This position is ideally based on-site in our Dallas, TX office. Remote options are available for those residing in the United States. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design engaging motion graphics and video content specifically tailored for social media, focusing on storytelling that highlights scientific insights.
• Produce infographics and diagrams for scientific papers, converting complex data into clear, visually appealing formats.
• Attend regular meetings with the marketing team to align on Colossal’s strategic goals and visual branding.
• Work collaboratively with social media strategists and copywriters to ensure design cohesion and effective communication of scientific content.
• Oversee multiple design projects from initial concept to completion, including storyboarding and creating presentations ready for review.
• Stay current with advancements in motion graphics and actively seek resources that enhance creative capabilities and output.
• Regularly update and maintain high-quality digital content, focusing on motion design and visual storytelling to enhance user engagement and understanding.
• Work closely with leadership and species teams to help craft visually compelling Keynote presentations.
• Work alongside film crews in the labs and field to capture captivating content for social media.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven capability in motion graphics and video content creation, as demonstrated by an extensive portfolio.
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, and Premier Pro.
• Ability to take web design assets from Figma and turn them into social media assets.
• Strong design skills, particularly in motion graphics, typography, and visual design.
• Excellent communication skills, suitable for effective remote collaborations and in-person interactions.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, delivering each with high attention to detail and within deadline constraints.
• A strong passion for science and skill in translating technical content into accessible visual formats.
• A degree in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field is strongly preferred.
