We are looking for a Media Relations Specialist to help strengthen awareness, affinity, and leadership of the Zoox brand. As part of the Corporate Communications team, you will be responsible for media relations for consumer and employer brand, supporting corporate announcements, thought leadership campaigns, speaking engagements and events, and integrated content marketing. This role requires strong written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and strong project management skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks within a deadline-driven environment. 

In this role, you will:

• Coordinate and support media outreach and relations for key announcements and moments in time.
• Responsible for proactive media opportunities focused on consumer and employer brand storytelling.
• Support speaking engagements for key Zoox spokespeople. 
• Support the team with media and influencer events, including coordination of materials, background information, etc. 
• Develop or edit content as needed in partnership with the team, including blog posts, partner content, contributed content, talking points, presentations, media alerts, press releases, etc. 
• Support cross-promotion with key Zoox partners. 

Qualifications

• 4+ years of in-house or agency public relations, journalism, or marketing experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Deep knowledge of media landscape and trends 
• Comfortability cross-collaborating with stakeholders and C-level executives
• Ability to manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines
• Ability to react quickly and take creative direction as needed

There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $106,000 - $164,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
