This contract is working with the Department of Veterans Affairs and focuses on modernizing and improving the GI Bill claims processing system, enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of education claims processing for veterans, service members, and their dependents.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

• Architect the test plan for data migrated from a client mainframe application to a modern microservices architecture.
• Understand and define mapping requirements from the new system to legacy data.
• Design and execute tests to confirm data integrity and ensure continued transactions against migrated data.
• Lead and coordinate with project teams to ensure accurate data migration and conversion reconciliation processes.
• Utilize JIRA for tracking and managing project tasks and issues related to data integrity testing.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

• Proven experience in Application Test Architecture and Application Test Planning.
• Strong background in Data Migration and handling complex data sets.
• Experience with Conversion Reconciliation in large scale migration projects.
• Proficiency in using JIRA for project and issue management.

Certifications

• Certifications related to software testing or project management (e.g., ISTQB, PMP) are beneficial.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with microservices architecture and cloud-based environments.
• Prior experience in a government contracting environment.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
