We enable this by building a set of global surfaces that make up core navigation UI that help our end users seamlessly navigate across Atlassian portfolio of products. These consist of the Side and Top Bar Navigation System, App & Account Switcher and Universal Create. The consistency of our products' core navigation UI is crucial for helping end users understand Atlassian's system of work. We do that by offering the components, infrastructure, and best-practices for teams across Atlassian.
As a Principal Product Manager on this team, you will partner with the Atlassian Design System and UI platform teams by defining the vision & strategy to ship high-quality navigation experiences. You will influence and partner with Atlassian product teams like Jira, Confluence, Loom etc. to install these components in their product. This is a high visibility and impact role with a unique opportunity to be on the cutting edge of a company level transformation. What you'll do

• Help Atlassian evolve its navigation experiences to cater to the Atlassian of the future.
• Transform the Atlassian Design System vision into a product strategy and execution roadmap, supporting both internal and external developers and designers
• Set and achieve key performance metrics and OKRs that define a successful design system
• Evangelise and advocate for the Atlassian Design System to enable consistent experiences, reuse and efficient design and development across Atlassian & External developers and designers.

Your Background

• 10+ years of product management experience with previous experience leading a Design System or front-end platform roles
• A track record for defining and executing Platform strategies that create business and customer value
• Ability to quantitatively and qualitatively understand complex problems, prioritize business and customer needs
• Experience with geographically distributed teams
• Excel in an environment where the topics and tasks are varied and you have to move quickly and learn fast
• A passion for raising the product craft bar and driving best practices throughout the company

Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience.
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
