Product Lead

Nuveen presents an exciting opportunity for a proactive Product Lead within our innovative Product Technology team. Reporting to the Head of Product Technology, you will spearhead a dynamic team responsible for meticulously documenting current and future process flows, eliciting user requirements, crafting user stories, and collaborating with UX design and engineering teams. Leading the charge in modernizing our technology platform for Product and SMA, this role involves close collaboration with stakeholders across business and operations. Your key responsibilities include comprehending business goals, devising roadmaps for value-driven solutions, and overseeing delivery of cutting-edge technological solutions. Based in Iselin, NJ or New York City, this hybrid-flex position offers a unique blend of location flexibility.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Document current and target state process flows.
  • Develop a deep understanding of user needs and translate into actionable requirements.
  • Capture and analyze user requirements to inform system enhancements.
  • Develop clear and comprehensive user stories.
  • Work closely with UX design and engineering teams to ensure seamless execution of projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business goals and expectations.
  • Create and manage roadmaps for delivering value-driven solutions aligned with business goals.
  • Provide status updates to senior management.
  • Monitors feedback on the use of business applications, enhancing system productivity as needed.
  • Reviews cost estimates of various system solutions and reviews project plans to provide input into decisions about prioritizing projects and allocating IT resources.
  • Monitors the efficiency and effectiveness of application operations and troubleshooting problems, as necessary.
  • Coaches and mentors junior team members.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Required

Work Experience

  • 5+ Years Required; 7+ Years Preferred

Required:

  • 5+ years experience as a Product Lead, Technical Business Analyst or similar role.
  • Experience partnering with UX designers to translate requirements to a delightful UI experience.
  • Experience in Visio, PowerPoint or other diagramming tools.
  • Experience using tools like JIRA and Confluence.

Preferred:

  • Experience using SQL or query tools.
  • Experience working in asset management or the financial service industry.
  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving project requirements and changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a small team towards successful completion of projects.
  • Strong analytical skills to comprehend and document complex processes.

Base Pay Range: $98,100/yr. - $160,000/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
