Ardent is seeking a Program Manager to join our team.  

This is a Remote/Hybrid position located in the Washington, D.C. area.

Position Description:

Ardent is seeking a Program Manager. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager (PM) to oversee the contract activities for our enterprise software development projects. The PM will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, controlling, staffing, and reporting status, deliverables, and schedules to the Government. The successful candidate must have extensive experience in enterprise software development environments and must achieve required certifications within three months after contract award.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Take overall responsibility for contract activities, including planning, organizing, directing, controlling, staffing, and reporting to the Government.
  • Serve as a full-time corporate employee of the prime Contractor at the time of contract award.
  • Lead and manage enterprise software development projects following Agile methodologies.
  • Utilize Microsoft Project and other tools to manage project schedules and deliverables effectively.
  • Utilize JIRA or similar tools for requirements tracking and management.
  • Lead multiple teams consisting of project managers, technical leads, and business analysts to execute tasks with independent release schedules.
  • Define all project activities and milestones required to meet objectives and deliverables, including task sequencing, effort estimation, and critical path determination.
  • Monitor program execution to identify obstacles and deviations from the plan and take corrective action as needed.
  • Conduct continuous risk assessment and management, developing measures to reduce risk in program execution.
  • Develop metrics and reports for tracking program execution and communicate progress to stakeholders.
  • Manage contract activities, budgeting, resource allocation, and subcontractor personnel.
  • Develop configuration management plans and oversee all aspects of configuration management planning

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree with eight (8) or more years of relevant experience in an enterprise software development environment.
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (must be achieved within three months after contract award).
  • Must have PM leadership experience in a Federal Government Contracting environment.
  • Experience in Agile Software Development environment and methodologies related to software lifecycle management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project.
  • Experience with requirements tracking tools like JIRA.
  • Experience leading multiple teams and executing tasks with independent release schedules.
  • Strong understanding of configuration management planning.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
