About the Role
Are you looking for an opportunity to deepen your purchasing and supplier management skills in a meaningful work environment that supports and protects explorers and heroes? Join our team!
As a Purchasing Agent III, you'll be using your skills and expertise to purchase materials, supplies, and services on the most favorable terms for the organization. You'll be responsible for qualifying our suppliers, monitoring and ensuring our supplier quality and delivery, evaluating bids, negotiating prices and terms for purchased goods and services, tracking purchases, and maintaining a current database of our supplier information.
Additionally, you'll provide subject matter expertise on complex procurements of significant dollar value, as well as independently manage multiple service type contracts. You'll help with the planning of the process for the purchasing function, and support programs.
Must-haves:

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field and typically six (6) or more years of relevant experience; higher education may substitute for relevant experience.
• Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
• Procurement experience

Preferred:

• Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) compliance
• Strong understanding of all aspects of finance and accounting related to procurement.
• Complete understanding of the full cycle of procurement processes

Physical/Mental/Emotional Requirements:

• Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps
• Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity.
• Frequently requires hearing abilities to include discerning different tones and volumes.
• Rarely lifting or carrying up to 20 lbs.

Working Conditions:

• Rarely exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.)
• Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials
• Rarely exposed to loud noises

Estimated Starting Salary Range:
$72,059.06 - $99,081.21
