Description

This is a hybrid remote/organized remote position; the selected candidate must reside in the Sacramento area and be available to be onsite at the client's location in West Sacramento several times each month.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the communications team, providing strategic direction and oversight for program-related communication campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the communications and organizational change management teams to deliver innovative and comprehensive communication strategies while meeting deadlines and mentoring junior staff.
  • Develop presentations, posters, videos, and annual plans to raise employee awareness and understanding of program operations and culture.
  • Participate in change projects that address the organization's need to modify structure or procedures due to mergers, acquisitions, leadership changes, or other organizational disruptions.
  • Maintain detailed project plans to define each project phase's timelines, tasks, resources, and dependencies.
  • Develop relationships with stakeholders and a working knowledge of existing business processes to understand the impact of changes and contribute to transition planning.
  • Coordinate creating and delivering communications, training, or interim support needed during the project.
  • Administer post-implementation surveys and monitoring to collect data, perform analysis, and measure the results of changes.
  • Manage the communications team, ensure deadlines are met, and mentor junior staff.
  • Create executive communications such as emails, videos, presentations, and programs for the entire staff.
  • Develop an annual operations plan that identifies specific goals and objectives or programs, as well as a detailed plan outlining which activities will be accomplished, when, and by whom.
  • Collaborate with organizational change consultants and division directors to create initiatives and strategies for effective implementation.
  • Support business process improvement initiatives, ensuring employee readiness and stakeholder awareness.
  • Responsible for creating educational materials to promote program operations and raise awareness.
  • Develop, plan, design, and facilitate a variety of meetings, including in-person, online, and hybrid formats, while ensuring smooth execution.
  • Coach executives, managers, and project leaders to improve their presentation and meeting skills
  • Other related duties, as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent business writing and editing skills, with the ability to create engaging content for a variety of formats including executive messaging, social media content generation, newsletters, and blogs.
  • Extensive experience in implementing communication campaigns.
  • Possess knowledge of program operations in the healthcare industry.
  • A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process.
  • Experience with and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and excellent active listening skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.
  • Strong project management skills: ability to plan, organize, and execute projects.
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.
  • Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics.
  • Problem-solving and root-cause identification skills.
  • Able to work effectively at all levels of an organization.
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others.
  • Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges.
  • Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts.

Work/Education Experience Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of organizational change management experience
  • Bachelor of Arts or master's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, organizational development, or project management, or equivalent; years of experience may be substituted.
  • Experience working in the Public Healthcare sector
  • Prosci Change Management Certification (Preferred)

Compensation Range: $104,000 - $178,000

The salary range for this role may vary depending on the specific geographic location where this position is ultimately filled. Several factors, including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, certifications, pay equity, and organizational needs, are considered when determining the posted salary range. In addition, eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
