Job Duties and Responsibilities
DISH is looking for an engineer to join our team who operates the Wireless IT OSS(Operational Support Systems) platform. Together with BSS(Business Support Systems) and Network CORE system supports various end-to-end telecommunication services like Device & SIM provisioning, Order Provisioning, Number Management, and LTP/BPI inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Taking ownership of customer issues reported and seeing problems through to resolution within agreed time limits
- Ask customers targeted questions to quickly understand the root of the problem
- Interact with clients/vendors through a series of actions, either via phone, email, or chat, until they've solved a technical issue
- Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers
- Follow up with clients to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshooting
- Active monitoring of alerts & operational dashboards for availability, latency, performance, and capacity, e nsuring all issues are properly logged
- Researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and identifying solutions to resolve system, software & hardware issues
- Following standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams
- Writing scripts for automation of error handling & handling order fallouts
- Refer to internal database or external resources to provide accurate tech solutions
- Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
- Prepare accurate and timely reports
- Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a relevant field
- 2+ years experience as a technical support engineer
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer building and maintaining production systems
- Strong background of cloud infrastructure (AWS) utilizing Kubernetes
- Hands-on experience with Python and Bash scripting
- Experience in OSS/BSS systems like ANI/BPI, intelligent provisioning, order management, etc highly preferred
- Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products
- Excellent problem-solving and a bility to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
- Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal
Salary Ranges
Compensation: $72,400.00/Year - $103,400.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
