Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) program includes a wide range of activities associated with program/project management support; operations (e.g., technical refresh); equipment reporting and accountability; program augmentation; systems engineering; human factors support; systems analyses and enhancements; financial planning/ execution; acquisition support; Air Traffic Control (ATC) support; training; community outreach; document configuration/management; and logistics support. This includes all levels of program support throughout the various program lifecycles, from development through implementation and fielding. This position will perform as a Sr. System Engineer in support of program lead(s) in a fast-paced environment for our FAA Time-based Flow Management (TBFM) task order.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Systems engineering and integration.
- Investment and business case analysis.
- System acquisition program planning and management.
- System development and implementation planning and management.
- System Life Extension Program/Technical Refresh Planning.
- Program and contract management.
- Forecasting and business/financial/information management.
Requirements
- BS in Engineering, Math, or Science degrees and 8 years of relevant engineering experience, Note: Eight (8) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
- 8 years of relevant engineering experience
- Knowledge of FAA's Acquisition Management System processes and products.
- Knowledge of NAS Enterprise Architecture.
- Demonstrated technical leadership in the FAA's NAS modernization programs.
- Experience in requirements development in the federal government space.
- Function identification, modeling, decomposition, analysis, and needs identification.
- Configuration management, alternatives identification, and analysis.

- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage short- and long-term priorities.
- Excellent organizational skills with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Enterprise platforms including Gmail, Calendar, and Google Meet.
- Ability to multi-task prioritize a diverse workload and meet established deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Good judgment, tact, and initiative to make effective independent decisions when necessary.
- Ability to accommodate schedule changes.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- The salary for this position is $70,000 - $130,000 annually
