Responsibilities:

Logility's next SR Technical Writer will produce and maintain high-quality documentation and other user assistance content that contributes to the successful adoption of products by end-users. This role works collaboratively with developers, quality engineers, product managers, and user experience professionals to equip users to understand and use our products.

Our Senior Technical Writer will work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements while producing high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience. They will need to write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help, technical and developer guides, and other user assistance. This role will need to analyze existing and potential content to identify opportunities for improvementand assess the audience needs for whom the technical and procedural documentation is intended; adjusts tone and technical terms used to meet those needs and to ensure understanding. The Technical Writer will plan writing processes and set timelines and deadlineswhile creating or working with graphic designers to create diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to assist readers in understanding a product or process. Finally, they will need to gather feedback from clients, designers, and other stakeholders to improve technical documents.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of technical writing, instructional design, or knowledge management experience in a technology company
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Supply chain industry expertise or demonstrated ability to learn multiple other business domains
  • Basic familiarity with the SDLC and software development
  • Working knowledge of one or more technical writing tools (Such as Adobe RoboHelp, Madcap Flare, or Author-it)
  • Experience creating HTML and CSS required
  • Experience using MkDocs and Markdown is a strong plus
  • Infrequent travel (less than 5% of time)
