Description

SFI is seeking mulitple Technical Project Managers, Technical Product Managers, and Sr. Solution Architects to join our team supporting our Federal Agency customers in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. As key members of our team, the positions will interface with the customers and lead/manage a range of activities including requirements collection and analysis, technical architecture design, software design, implementation, debugging, as well as enhancing existing systems. Prior experience leading large, enterprise-level software development efforts is a critical requisite for this position.

This position is hybrid, requiring on-site and remote work, periodically going on-site to our HQ in Bethesda, MD.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Interface directly with customers and act as a solution provider for a variety of business problems.
  • Lead 1-3 scrum teams to architect and develop software applications utilizing best technology practices to design and implement a scalable, secure, end-to-end software product.
  • Assist in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools.
  • Experience programming with serverless compute technologies and AWS/Azure cloud computing, e.g., AWS Lambda, AWS API Gateway, Cloud Formation, S3, SNS, SQS, AzureDevOps.
  • Must be proficient in coding languages and technologies, e.g., NodeJS, React, TypeScript and Angular.
  • Resolve problems with software and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
  • Effective verbal and written communication with senior-level management and leadership on the customer side.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • 8 years' experience in a similar role or functions including software development on complex applications to large scale production environments.
  • Hands-on experience in: cloud native AWS or Azure development, Node.js /Angular/ React development, and Microservices development
  • Extensive experience in cloud environments including AWS tools, applications development, and migration.
  • Agile/SAFe, DevOps or AzureDevOps understanding and experience
  • Provide mentorship and can coach junior to mid level developers
  • Solid understanding of .NET or Java Technologies.
  • Previous federal government project experiences a huge plus.
  • Strong technical leadership and software project management experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent software development projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills to maintain an effective working relationship with development teams and customers.

Certifications (Required):

  • PMP
  • ITIL Certification
