ROLE SUMMARY
Pfizer Vaccine has a strong pipeline in addition to the brands widely used in Japan (Prevenar13 and Comirnaty), and one of the key products that will lead the growth of Pfizer Vaccine is the RS virus (RSV) vaccine approved on 18th April 2024. Indicated for maternal immunization, the shot will be given to pregnant women to prevent serious symptoms when the child contracts an RSV infection
The RSV Vaccine Senior Brand Manager will have commercial responsibility of RSV vaccine including launch strategy and tactics development, commercial activity roll out by leveraging omni-channels. This role will closely work with the Lead and Brand Managers of the team, and require cross-functional leadership among multiple internal functions both global, region and local. Engagement with external stakeholders also required such as medical society, academic association and municipality.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Develop launch strategy, lead commercial activities for the RSV vaccine
- Understand overall vaccine market, an environment surrounded RSV vaccine and customer insights to develop robust launch strategy.
- Develop tactics based on analysis obtained from data, facts, and insights, and lead commercial activities by leveraging omni-channels
- Implement launch activities by leveraging internal resources and partnerships with third-party vendors, industry organizations, and, if required, other pharmaceutical companies
- Keep eyes open for new information regarding Pfizer's vaccines, competitors, local and global markets, latest discussions among KOLs and academia, and legislation in Japan
- Lead discussions among global/regional/local colleagues to create launch strategies for RSV vaccine and ensure all the cross-functional colleagues pursue the same goal
- Develop revenue forecasts for the RSV vaccine in consistency with global and regional teams for strategies, assumptions, and models
- Oversee promotional content development and marketing activities for HCPs and consumers, make sure those activities are executed in a compliant manner
- Manage marketing budget and ensure related spends are completed within budget and on time.
- Work with team members through coaching and mentoring;
- Provide the guidance and coaching to brand managers and other members in vaccine TA as necessary to ensure their success as well as self-growth.
- Create a culture and workplace environment that fosters enthusiasm, collaboration and engagements with peers and team members.
- Uphold and adhere to Pfizer company policies, compliance rules/regulations, SOPs, and pharmaceutical regulatory guidelines (i.e. cGMP/cGLP/cGCP).
QUALIFICATIONS
- BA or BS required
- More than 5 years' experience in pharmaceutical marketing experience (brand marketing, digital marketing) is required, the experience in vaccine field is preferred.
- Fluently communicate in Japanese and English in both written and spoken
- Strategic thinking and ability to clearly articulate business direction and priorities
- Strong leadership, project management, coordination skills across large groups of cross-functional teams. Matrix team management experience is preferred
- Be an active contributor to create an environment where innovative ideas proposed and implemented, to foster the culture of collaboration and teamwork
- Understand analytic tools/methods, demonstrate the ability to collect customer insights, translate it to implications which leads to the robust brand strategy
- Strong presentation skills in both English and Japanese
- Builds broad accountability, trusts, empowers and adapts own style to fit needs of the situation and individual
- Be agile and encourages experimentation through testing, learning, adapting and iterating to improve outcomes.
