WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
As a Visual Designer at TIFIN, you will report to our Head of Design and join a centralized design team responsible for providing design services to multiple companies across the TIFIN ecosystem. We’re looking for a Visual Designer who can help us build beautiful and intuitive brands and experiences.
The Visual Designer will work with passionate product and development teams to build easy to use interfaces for our platforms that ultimately empower investors through their simplicity. In order to succeed, it will be critical for this individual to understand the requirements of these internal clients, and deliver designs that address those requirements. Above all, we are looking for a passionate designer and team player who is eager to grow and excited about the business exposure that will come with our unique TIFIN business model.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with product and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, brand, and experience
- Participate in design and product sessions
- Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
- Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user-friendliness to complex design roadblocks
- Establish and promote brand and design guidelines, best practices, and standards
- Design, implement and release user interface for new customer-facing features
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of visual design experience (agency experience preferred)
- An entrepreneurial mindset, driven by the potential of successful outcomes
- Willingness to be scrappy
- Passion for beautiful branding and customer empathy
- Excellent visual design skills
- Deep understanding of visual design processes
- A demonstrated love for typography
- Strong understanding of the interplay between design and development to dynamically create, modify and style elements on a page with ease
- Sensitivity to user-system interaction
- Proven responsive and mobile design experience
- Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies
- Strong working knowledge of common design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Experience building and maintaining design systems in Figma
- Experience creating animations for web
- Highly organized
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and knowledge of JavaScript
- Scrum or agile methodology experience with solid understanding of agile development processes and principles
- Ability to thrive in a highly demanding, entrepreneurial, and fast-paced environment
- Highly flexible, good tolerance for ambiguity, and able to quickly adapt to changing priorities
- A top performer with a proactive approach who has a “doer” & problem-solver mentality
- An exceptional team player with strong communication skills
- A local presence in the Boulder or Denver area
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS PACKAGE: The expected starting salary range for this position in Boulder, CO is between $75,000 - $95,000. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.

A note on location. While we have team centers in New York City, San Francisco, Charlotte, and Mumbai, TIFIN is headquartered in Boulder, CO and our preference is to build the team here whenever possible, so relocation packages are available for any candidate willing to relocate to the Boulder area.
