Join our integration squad at Popmenu as a Product Manager Intern! This eight week internship offers a unique opportunity to dive into the world of product management within a vibrant software company. Working alongside our integration team, you will gain hands-on experience with API management, POS (point of sale) system integrations, and ensuring reliable data flow between Popmenu and our partners.


Our ideal intern is collaborative, coachable, data-driven, and excited to build a foundation for a career in SaaS product management. This internship is designed to challenge you while allowing you to showcase and develop your skills alongside our product team.


This is a fully in-person internship based in our Atlanta office.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in understanding the vision for Popmenu's products and features, particularly in relation to integration services.
  • Support in driving product specifications, design, and overall direction of integration-related projects.
  • Help translate ideas and strategies into tangible product requirements such as epics, features, and user stories, with a focus on integration needs.
  • Participate in prioritizing development backlog items based on integration strategy, customer value, implementation cost, and resource availability.
  • Contribute to grooming the development backlog through iterations of user story development and prioritization, emphasizing quality assurance and issue validation.
  • Support objectives for each sprint, ensuring alignment with integration goals.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the business value of all user stories, especially those related to API and POS integrations, and help communicate this to ensure that implemented solutions meet goals.
  • Assist in the final acceptance of implemented user stories, focusing on integration aspects and ensuring the intended business value has been achieved.
  • Help review and demonstrate product functionality related to integrations with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Evaluate team results, identify opportunities for further product and integration improvements, and learn to articulate these insights effectively.
  • This internship at Popmenu is an excellent stepping stone for those looking to gain valuable real-world experience in software product management, with a special focus on integration challenges and solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a BA/BS in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar.
  • A keen interest in software product management and integrations within a tech environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to effectively present integration-focused ideas.
  • Desire to learn about agile and scrum processes, with a focus on integration challenges.
  • Eager to manage, analyze, and validate large sets of data; experience with SQL Server or oracle is a plus. Training and mentorship in data management and integration processes will be provided.
  • Excellent at managing time-sensitive tasks and eager to engage in multiple projects, with a focus on quality assurance and prioritization.

  • Deep insights into API management, POS system integrations, and maintaining robust data exchanges with partners.
  • How to interact with and learn from a cross-functional team within a software company, with a specific focus on integration challenges.
  • Practical experience with agile and scrum processes in the context of integration.
  • Data management and analysis skills pertinent to maintaining and improving product integrations.

Day In the Life:

  • Collaborate closely with the Integration Squad to learn and contribute to the release process of integration features.
  • Participate in coordinating internal and external major release readiness.
  • Engage in ongoing training and development programs to become a subject matter expert (SME) in integration and data management.
