Edelman is seeking a citizenship intern for a 10-week summer internship program and in order to be considered, you must currently be a rising senior.

Job Description: The Global Citizenship intern will work closely with the Global Citizenship team on day-to-day activities as well as larger projects, including communication efforts, impact measurement, and reporting. 

Job duties – Citizenship:

  • Support team in production of annual Citizenship Report 
  • Gather assets, information, and resources 
  • Coordinate with global offices, graphic designers, writer, and cross-functional teams 
  • Prepare quarterly Citizenship Score reports for each office, in partnership with team members 
  • Liaise with local citizenship contacts in our offices to collect data 
  • Analyze data to identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement
  • Manage partnerships by collaborating with the team to maintain contact lists, provide meeting notes and editorial support when needed 
  • Manage environmental data collection, auditing, and tracking
  • Identify opportunities to increase the team’s internal communications
  • Conduct research on nature-based solutions and sustainability reporting requirements and applicability to Edelman
  • Assist on projects as needed 

Job duties – Administrative:

  • Research and compile materials needed for meetings, calls, projects, etc.
  • Coordinate and oversee document production and projects, as requested 
  • Maintain files, contacts database, and record keeping needs of practice
  • Attend team meetings and take responsibility for follow-up action 
  • Complete special projects as assigned, including creative design of materials, writing projects

Goals:

  • To assist the Global Citizenship team in elevating and integrating citizenship (corporate social responsibility and sustainability) throughout the global business practices of the firm. 
  • To effectively and efficiently communicate on a regular basis with the local citizenship network contacts around the world to stay updated on current environmental and volunteerism projects, request updates on, train new liaisons for local offices, and generally answer questions about local and global citizenship. 

Description of Internship: To assist the Global Citizenship team in communications with our employees around the world and to collect data and assist in the publication and socialization of our FY24 Citizenship Report. 

 

Goals of Internship: To provide a hands-on, professional learning experience that both supports the Global Citizenship team’s efforts and initiatives while providing insights into the field of public relations and corporate social responsibility and sustainability, as well as opportunities for professional growth based on the unique talents, skills, and interests of the intern.


Timeline: Monday, June 10th - Friday, August 16th


Qualifications:

The intern must

- Be able to work effectively with a variety of staff within a specific set of accounts.

· Have good organizational skills and the ability to adapt to new conditions, assignments and deadlines.

· Have solid knowledge of MS Office Suite and superior verbal and written communication skills.

· Demonstrate strong writing skills

· Possess good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with others

 

The Intern is generally someone who is a rising senior who is looking to gain experience in corporate social responsibility.

 

Familiarity with the Public Relations discipline through past coursework or other internships is desirable.
