Participate in a 24/7 follow-the-sun global support model around deployment, maintenance, monitoring, response, and capacity planning for business-critical systems and infrastructure.

*Telecommuting permitted: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the Red Hat, Inc. office in Raleigh, NC.

What you will do

• Collaborate daily with globally distributed team members and other engineering and development teams to troubleshoot and resolve incidents and service requests.
• Follow company policies and processes while completing technical tasks and implementing technical solutions.
• Provide on-call coverage during working hours as part of a rotation, as well as periodic rostered and planned on-call support on weekends.
• Identify, document and assist in the automation of operational support procedures and processes.
• Work closely with the ITSM teams to drive systems integration and automation, data quality improvements and governance activities.
• Advance innovation through utilization of Red Hat technologies that are new or still in the product development pipeline.

The salary range for this position is $109,512 - $129,160/year. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

What you will bring

• Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related role OR five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related role.
• Must have three (3) years of experience with: Linux and UNIX system administration or network administration, supporting production systems and core utility services in an enterprise environment; and system and network administration, including operating system, source code management, networking switching and routing, and network equipment and appliances.
• Domestic travel required up to 15% of the time to conferences and company facilities. Travel expenses covered by Red Hat, Inc.
