Siemens Logistics LLC is seeking an experienced SiteOperations Manager with solid management, operations and leadership experienceto lead our team at the Houston, Texas International Airport.

POSTION SUMMARY:

This positionis responsible for the O&M of the Baggage Handling System (BHS) at theHouston, Texas International Airport, Terminal 1/1.5. SiemensLogistics Customer Services division offers a wide portfolio, which includesmaintenance services, process optimization, training, system upgrades andmodifications throughout the life cycle of a material handling system. The SiteOperations Manager is the key point of contact with our Airport and AirlinePartners. This role is critical in providing, establishing andbuilding relationships with those partners. The Site OperationsManager is responsible for the overall maintenance andoperations for the BHS. This position is accountable for providing siteleadership, team development, and direction to the maintenance team in order toachieve quality, safety, productivity goals, and to meet KPI's and contractualobligations.

Essential Functions (Job Duties and Responsibilities):

• Lead and set direction for team to complete needed preventative and corrective maintenance activities as required by scope of work.
• Manage Site P&L to achieve budgetary cost and margin goals
• Participate and take an active role in weekly, monthly and quarterly meeting with customers and customers' agents to review performance
• Ensure proper administration of all documentation related to safety, maintenance work orders, PMs & CMs, parts inventory, and labor hours.
• Improve capability and capacity of maintenance personnel through ongoing mentoring and training.
• Plan and manage resources to ensure the most cost effective execution by maintenance team.
• Train, manage, and lead employee performance to insure continuous improvement.
• Coordinate and collaborate with other departments to solve problems as needed and set plans for meeting Customer's goals.
• Ensure a safe work environment for employees and certify that safe work practices are being consistently performed.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce site specific policies and procedures including but not limited to: Communication plans, safety plans, contingency plans, attendance, quality control of craftsmanship, inventory management, training requirements, PLC code control (per TSA's guidelines).
• Assist Customer in administering the spare parts allowance and provide support with audits of spare parts inventory.
• Promote training initiatives
• Generate standard operating procedures.
• Conduct BHS failures root cause assessments.
• Conduct ongoing BHS Assessments
• Maintain current software licenses with Airport and vendors
• Track and administer BHS parts warranty program
• Provide written reports of any kind when requested by customer

Knowledge-Skills-Abilities (Competencies):

• Strong customer interface and professional communication and presentation skills
• Proven ability to establish and build strong customer relationships
• Strong leadership skills with a proven record of leading teams, especially during difficult situations

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's / Technical Degree and/or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3+ years of experience with maintenance management and managing employees, leading, motivating, and mentoring teams
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with PLC's software, a plus
• Experience in industrial, commercial construction, or material handling/conveyor systems industries.
• Experience adhering to and implementing customer contracts
• Experience coordinating all HR functions including recruiting & hiring, training, appraisals, employee recognition, etc.
• Experience and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel & PowerPoint
• Proven track record of problem solving, taking on entrepreneurial challenges and simplifying complex issues

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Operations or Engineering preferred
• Airport and/or Warehouse Operations experience
• Conveyor services or material handling services experience
