Specialist - Project Take Off (REMOTE)
Job Description
As a Specialist - Project Take Off, you will be responsible for supporting projects from time of quote through final closing for DC String collection of Utility Scale Solar Projects. This will include material quotations from customer inquiries, plans and specifications. You may visit customer sites when necessary to better understand the process and may be involved before the project goes out for quotations and therefore giving us a better chance of winning and at a higher margin.
Responsibilities:
- Identifies potential projects for bid and compiles list of material requirement for our PV Assemblies product lines
- Interacts with consultants representing customers to obtain approvals for bidding.
- Reads and interprets specifications and blueprints.
- Communicates with suppliers to discuss material specifications, clarifies and confirms bill of materials, negotiates pricing and identifies alternatives for special or custom orders.
- Supervised negotiations with both suppliers and customers
- Coordinates receipt of required information for preparation of final quotation submittal.
- Communicates with customers to resolve problems with projects during bidding process.
- Follows-up on open and outstanding quotations with salespersons and customers to determine status.
- Communicates with account representatives, account executives, and inside sales reps to ensure quotes and resulting orders are complete.
- Posts and maintains projects being bid by customers in our Engineering pipeline report
- Maintains catalogs and price lists.
Qualifications:
- High School Degree or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Five years of design experience required.
- Customer facing sales experience required.
- CAD Experience - AutoCAD
- Technical or Sales presentation experience is preferred.
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem solving capability.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives; multitasking.
- Organizational skills.
- Creative and analytic thinking.
