Edelman has an opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to support senior leaders in a fast-paced, high-performance environment!

This role is hybrid in Washington, D.C.

Responsibilities:

  • The Administrative Assistant works closely with and supports the needs of key senior leaders and others around the network as needed. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Maintain multiple calendars for appointments, internal & external meetings and events
  • Coordinate extensive travel arrangements, travel itineraries, and portfolio
  • Process expense reports
  • Coordinate both in-house meetings and off-site meetings, including conference room set-up, beverages, food, and travel for visitors
  • Forge relationships with members across the Edelman D.C. network and the US Admin team
  • Contribute to programs and events in Washington, D.C.
  • Complete special projects as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • The position requires a minimum of 2 years prior administrative experience. 
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Must possess strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possess strong judgment and proven history of excellent customer service, including advanced organizational skills, excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to discreetly handle confidential information
  • Ability to work autonomously, and efficiently, be solutions-oriented, flexible, proactive, and anticipate needs is required to take ownership of work and excel in a team environment
  • Strong time-management skills, with attention to detail, following through on projects, and handling multiple tasks
  • Proven ability to take direction from multiple sources
  • Have experience working in a public relations or communications agency (preferred)
