Marketing Sales Development Representative
Job Description:
Our Lead Science / DealerOn Marketing organization is seeking a qualified Sales Development Representative (SDR) to support Sales Enablement initiatives by working closely with inbound marketing driven leads to screen, warm-up and identify sales opportunities (potential clients) who could benefit from our products and services. The Marketing SDR will successfully set quality appointments and/or have sales conversations that turn into closed deals. As the first line of communication with leads, our ideal SDR will have a strong understanding of the sales process and excel at researching leads and starting new sales conversations.
The SDR will report to Marketing and will be a quick and flexible learner with strong written and verbal communication skills. The SDR’s ability to showcase our offerings in a compelling way and move every potential customer towards an appointment or a closed opportunity will have a tangible impact within our Marketing and Sales organization’s opportunity pipeline to contribute to revenue growth.
Essential Functions:
- Core focus will be on qualifying and “warming up” inbound marketing leads for the purpose of moving Marketing Qualified Leads through the pipeline by either setting an appointment or closing a deal
- Represent the company’s products and services, using comprehensive knowledge as well as consumer research to explain how our solutions meet customer needs
- Complete additional tasks as required by Marketing leadership
- Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding potential new sales opportunities
- Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and engage sales executives in next steps
- Identify best practices for refining the company’s lead-generation playbook
- Outreach utilizing our resources; Salesforce, Zoom, Website Chat engagement tool, email, SMS, etc. for outreach (cold calls & warm lead follow up) to generate new sales opportunities.
- Research and identify ideal prospects for our services and product offerings.
- Identify the needs of prospects and suggest appropriate products or services to determine qualified leads and sales opportunities.
- Learn our products and become proficient in presenting and having sales conversations where you can answer direct questions and/or find answers.
- Set up meetings between (prospective) customers and sales executives.
- Manage lead and contact qualification and distribution to sales directors via our CRM and Marketing tools.
- Report to Marketing leadership with weekly, monthly, and quarterly results.
- Facilitate Marketing Qualified Lead attribution and monthly/quarterly audits.
- Become proficient in the utilization of Salesforce and associated tools to drive marketing performance and integrity.
Required Skills/Experience:
- 1 - 2 years of sales experience and a highly collaborative and tech savvy mindset.
- Strong communication skills via phone and email
- Proven, creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills
- Strong desire and ability to pay attention to the details & represent our department with quality work
- Willingness and flexibility to proactively learn new technology efficiently
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or at least 5 years of relevant work experience
- Experience as a sales development representative, with a track record of exceeding expectations
- Proficiency with Salesforce or other CRM software

The salary range for this position is $37,500 - $66,300.
