The goal of the web team is to provide our members everywhere with a frictionless experience on our platform. We are in the process of building a business with a truly global reach and operations. This is a great opportunity for an engineer to own high impact initiatives on a high-volume, mission critical system.
We are in charge of building and maintaining our own global web infrastructure, at all levels of the stack. We are responsible for the marketings, payments, and product experiences end to end; from the seamless checkout flow that allows customers around the world to purchase services in their preferred methods, to a variety of integrations.
We are looking for strong full-stack software engineers to join a small and nimble team, and help define and execute Yohana's strategy. The ideal candidate will combine solid engineering and product skills, and thrive in a fast-paced, iterative, and collaborative environment. You will tackle exciting technical challenges that come with scale (huge volumes of transactions, currencies, and methods to support) and have responsibility measured in billions.
About the role:
We’re excited to invite talented and motivated web engineers to join our team to help expand Yohana’s web experience for our members.
Web Engineers work closely with designers and mobile and backend engineers to deliver high-impact features as members of multidisciplinary product teams.
What you’ll do day-to-day:- Create smooth, stable, and elegant products with NextJS and TypeScript
- Own features from inception and design to implementation and launch
- Build and improve tools to support Yohana's global cloud operational backbone
- Collaborate with design, product, service and marketing specialists to rapidly iterate on our core products
- Design frameworks and tools that empower other developers
- Creating and driving the area’s technical strategy and roadmap based on broad and deep understanding of the Payments domain.
- Making strategic technology choices.
- Setting technical standards.
- Continuously improving reliability, scalability, and correctness of all services within the web domain while holding the highest security standards.
- Continuously improving operational excellence, efficiency, and sustainability of all web properties.
- Mentoring engineers and up-leveling the web engineering organization.
- Making hard tradeoffs about taking on or paying down technical debt while making forward progress on new products and features.
- Collaborating with other area tech leads across Yohana, to ensure that Yohana’s overall technical direction is coherent, effective, and efficient while balancing that against web technical needs driven by unique challenges.

- 8+ years of professional Software Development experience
- 5+ years of professional experience with modern Web technologies
- Fluency in TypeScript and Python
- Product / Experience focused, great design intuition and user empathy
