The Risk Management Engineer functions as an information system security testing subject matter expert (SME) by providing expertise in developing and implementing security testing for multiple Consular Affairs/Consular Systems and Technology (CA/CST) systems during the Annual Control Assessments (ACAs).

Evaluate, identify, and classify anomalous traffic across SSA network and provide corrective action. Perform intrusion protection and vulnerability assessments. Monitor IDS sensors and infrastructure, vulnerability scanning infrastructure. Develop scripts for traffic analysis. Required skills: Incident Response, risk assessments, McAfee SIEM, Splunk ES, Regex. Desired certifications: CISSP, CCNA, CEH, Security Plus.

Provide UNIX and Windows server administration, software support, and performance analysis. Maintain security patches, backups, and disaster recovery. Support TCP/IP and LAN network configuration.

Work independently or as a team leader, with strong communication and leadership skills. Requires extensive experience in SQL, Java, JavaScript, VBScript, VB.NET, ASP, ASP.NET, C, HTML, XML, Install Shield, and WiseScript.

Monitor and troubleshoot mainframe applications, identify and resolve system issues, perform system maintenance and updates.

The IT Service Support Engineer will provide tier 1 and 2 support for IT equipment and services at the Veterans Administration Acquisition Academy. Responsibilities include receiving service requests and incident reports, setting up and configuring IT equipment, interacting with support teams, and providing user training. The ideal candidate should have an AA degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, an MCSA certification for Windows 7, and at least 1 year of desktop support experience.
